Christmas Program
On Sunday, December 14th, at 4 pm, we will host a special Christmas music program for the community. Our children's choir will perform a short program along with selections by our adult and handbell choirs. Everyone is invited and the program is suitable for all ages. Refreshments will be served following the program. We ask for the donation of a new huggable teddybear for the San Mateo County Child Protective Services "Share a Bear" project.
Pacifica Resource Center
The Pacifica Resource Center thanks everyone who made a special effort to help them restock their food pantry. They are doing better now and the holiday donations are coming in. They encourage all who are able to participate in the Adopt a Family Christmas program.
Mahalo Sunday
What a wonderful day we had on Sunday, October 5th! At worship, we commissioned volunteers who went out into our community to do a variety of projects and services. We collected a truck-load of canned goods from our neighbors and delivered them to the Pacifica Resource Center, filling a previously empty food pantry. We hit the Pacifica State Beach with a large crew of cleaners and left it spotless. We visited Pacifica Rehab and Nursing to sing old hymns for the residents. We delivered two truck loads of goods, including six bicycles, to Puente de la Costa in Pescadero for the migrant ministry there. We did several home repair jobs and wrote cards to many members of our congregation who we wanted to remember. Then we gathered for a Hawaiian barbecue and sharing of stories and photos. Thank you to the over 100 people who served in some way on that day! Click on the Mahalo picture above to view the QuickTime movie of a great day.
